Well met and welcome to the Journey Begun in Scripture podcast! I am your host, Theodore Jander. To begin this episode, “Hope from the Story in Between,” I would first like to share Ephesians 1:7-8, which are two verses from the Epistle reading paired with the Scripture passage my dad focuses on, which is from the Gospel of Mark 6:14-29: In [Christ] we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of God's grace; which he poured over us in abundance with all wisdom and understanding...

Episode 4 - Woven

Well met and welcome to the Journey Begun in Scripture podcast! I am your host, Theodore Jander. As was mentioned in episode one, the installments released on Mondays of the second through fourth or fifth weeks of each month will follow a similar setup to episode two, except with the absence of the Guided Litany. With that being the case, this installment’s Journey Begun in Scripture devotional, “Woven,” focuses on a quote made by Ellen White, which I will read momentarily, along with two connecting Scripture verses.
But first, sit back and relax as you take this time to dwell in God’s presence.
“We are all woven together in the great web of humanity, and whatever we can do to benefit and uplift others will reflect in blessing upon ourselves.” -Ellen White
Psalm 139:15: My bones were not hidden from you, when I was made in secret, woven together in the lowest parts of the earth.
Romans 12:5: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and each one members one of another.

Episode 3 - Challenge and Change

Well met and welcome to the Journey Begun in Scripture podcast! I am your host, Theodore Jander. As was mentioned in episode one, the devotional presented in the second installment to be released each week has been written and recorded by my dad, Dr. Lou Jander as of part my parent’s non-for-profit company, CrownPoint Ministries. I am very grateful to my dad for providing me access to the recordings.
I would first like to share verses seven and eight from the reading my dad focuses on, which is from the Gospel of Mark 6:1-13: And [Jesus] called the twelve unto himself and began to send them forth two by two, giving them authority over unclean spirits. He charged them to take nothing for their journey, save only a staff; no pouch, no bread, and no money in their belts...

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Theodore Jander. As your host, I welcome you to the Journey Begun in Scripture podcast, which grew out of my passion for storytelling, composing sacred music, writing, and as you heard in the introduction, “bringing hope to the world.”
